Thais Cerutti is the pastry chef and co owner of Gula Bakery. Being a Brazilian, she decided to bring to Portland the most famous Brazilian passion, the Brigadeiros, a creamy truffle made with sweetened condensed milk and chocolate, coated with a variety of toppings.
She grew up in the restaurant business, inspired by her mother, a successful chef and entrepreneur. Thais followed her steps by managing her own restaurants until 2009, when her husband’s work brought them to Portland-OR.
Now she focuses on making the Portlanders also fall in love with the Brigadeiros, an authentic and unique treat from Brazil, a little bite of happiness.
